CHRIS HOLLY, a graduate of Burnet High School in 1969, will be returning to Burnet to teach vocational agriculture. He pre viously taught in Poteet and Bel ton. Chris is a graduate of Texas A M University, MAS. DARLINE GAMBLE, a na tive of Lubbock, graduated from Monterey High School and Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Drama. Since that time she has done graduate work at The University of San Diego and California State. She is married to James Gamble, Burnet Co-op Counselor, and they have one child. Mrs. Gamble has taught in Imperial, California as well as El Centro and Barstow. Mrs. Gamble will be the director of Burnet's newly organized drill team and will teach English in Burnet High School. MR. PHILLIP W. BURNETT is another Burnet High graduate who is returning to Burnet to teach. Phil, who graduated in 1969, is married to the former Susan Kroeger, also a Burnet graduate, and they have one child. Phil has been teaching at DeSoto High School near Dallas for the past two years. He did his college work at Abilene Chris tian Collene, Baylor University and Stephen F. Austin . He holds the B.S. and Master Degrees. Phil will be teaching physical science and coaching baseball, freshman foot ball and freshman basketball. FRANKLIN A. LOVE, a native of San Angelo, where he graduated from Central High School and Angelo State University will be teaching physical science at Bur net Intermediate School. Mr. Love is no stranger to the Burnet Schools because he has substi tuted frequently at the naw school and intermediate, holds the B.S. Degree. MRS. DAWN ELISE HOLLY, wife of elected ag teacher Chris Houy, will be teaching in the intermediate and high school. She will be in the special education department and also be the new swimming coach. Mrs. Houy graduated from an E.T.S.A. at Commerce, Texas. Mrs. Houy has seven years teaching experience in Galveston, town, Wichita , and . At Burnet High School she will be teaching social studies. High Vandeventer was formerly athletic director in Burnet the years 1958 Since 1972 he JOHN THOMAS CURBO, who has taught in the Somerset School System for the last five years will be teaching English at Bunet High School. He and his wife, Roxanne, who is a former teacher have three children. They plan to reside at Buckners Boys Ranch. John graduated from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School and holds the B.S. Degree from How ard Payne College. He has also done additional work at Incarnate Word College and San Antonio College. MRS. to te wife of Larry grade at Scast Wousenry Panes School. Mrs. Boyd graduated from Burnet High School in 1968 and then attended MRS. SANDRA FIELD, who worked as a teacher's aide in the Burnet kindergarten program last year, has been promoted to teacher In the Mrs. Field and her husband Buddy, are parents of two child ren, Mark and Cathy. Cathy is a high school student and Mark MISS TERRY LOUISE THORP is a recent graduate of Southwestern University at Georgetown. She did her high school work at Beaumont. Miss Thorp holds the B.S. Degree in Edu cation and will be working in the Special Education Dept. in language learning difficulties. MRS. CATHY D. MURPHY has recently moved to the area from Austin. Her husband is em ployed by L.C.R.A. and they have one child. Mrs. Murphy has traveled extensively and gradu ated from high school in Japan. She did her college work at Southwest Texas State Univer sity. Mrs. Murphy has experi ence teaching in both San Anton io and Austin. She will be teaching remedial reading at Bur net Elementary. LINDA McCARLEY, a recent graduate of Southwest Texas State University, will be teaching the severe and profoundly hand icapped in Burnet Miss McCarley is a native of Pilu and has working at the Travis State School in Austin. MARTHA RILEY will be the new athletic director for girls. She MRS. LOIS VANDEVENTER, wife of elected Burnet High Cliff Vandeventer, will be teaching math at Burnet In termediate. A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota Mrs. Vand eventer graduated with a B.S. Degree from the University of South Dakota. She has done graduate work at the University of Colorado and the University of Texas. She last taught in Burnet in 1963 and since that time has taught in Lockhart, Taylor, Irving and Everman. MRS.
