Madison Scouts lake 1st PlaceThe Madison Boy Scout Drum and Bugle Corps took first place in the Racine Boy Scout Drum and Bugle Corps competition at Horlick Field Saturday night,Nearly 4,000 persons were on hand for the extravaganza commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Racine Scout Corps. The Racine Scouts as the sponsors, did not participate in the competition but did give an exhibition prior to the event. Also appearing in exhibition were the Racine, Kiltie Ka-dets, Junior Boy Scouts, and the Boys of ’76 drum and bugle corps.The Madison Scouts took first place with a 79.8 score followed by the Racine Kilties with a 78.4 and the St. Joseph’s Drum and Bugle Corps of Batavia, N.
