Expect to Occupy by End of Year; Entire 7 Buildings to Be Done in a Year. An idea of the speed that is being attained in construction work at the monster $17,000,000 plant which is being nut up on the Waukegan flats by the H. W. Johns-Manville company caun be gained from the statement that the foundations for three of the seven buildings which are to com pose the initial unit already have een completed and will be ready for occupancy before the end of the year. It is the plan of the builders to have the entire plan completed within a year. The Waukegan plant will be known as the western branch of the company and will be one of the largest con oes in the world. Thousands of laborers now employed at the Johns- Manville factories in Milwaukee are to be brought to Waukegat when the new plant is opened. The new plant ‘will cover nearly three hundred acres, all of which has been filled-in by the company since the work of construction first was commenced. A large force of men now is employed a construction work ing the company is adding new men as fast as they apply.
