In speaking of the recent wedding of Alva Montgomery and Mrs. Muggle Kepler, the Newton County Enterprise, of Kentlsnd. nay a:The people of Kentland. and especially the residents of Iroquois Drive, were somewhat surprised yesterday morning to see u woman presiding over the home of Alva Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery made no explanation to the neighbors hut hastened to the newspaper office to give us the news first hand.The bride Is Mrs. MugdHllne Kepler, of J'erhltig. Ind.. and the wedding ceremony was performed Monday by the Rov l»r. DresaeU, pastor of the First Kngllsh Lutheran church, of Richmond. Mr and Mrs. Montgomery arrived in Kentland Tuesday evening.Mr. Montgomery made the acquaint ance of Mrs. Kepler at Hradentown, Florida, last winter and a mutual friendship was quickly formed Like Mr. Montgomery, Mrs. Kepler had been left alone tu the world, her two children being grown and away from home, and she gracefully consented to come to Kentland to preside over Mr. Montgomery's home.Mrs. Montgomery was a well-to-do and highly respected lady of her home town. «uid Mr. Montgomery will takq pleasure in introducing her to his large circle of friends her*'. Mr Montgomery has spent his entire life in this community and is held as one of our substantial and honored cttUens. and to him and his new bride best wishes and congratulations are extended.Mr. Montgomery's half brother. T. I*. Haywood, of Igftysits. accompanied by Mrs. Haywood and daughter and a young lady friend, drove into Kentland yesterday morning enroute to Chicago, and made a call at the Montgomery home and were given a real surprise in being tntr\duced to the new lady of the house.
