—James Hand who was tried last weekhefore Justice Hicks on a charge of assaulting two surveyors engaged in work near hia Glonskle Valley home declares that the charge against liim was absolutely unwarranted by the facta in the case and thas ho proposes to fight it rig* orously in the courts* His claim is that the men were trespassing 011 his land and had actually started to remove some boundary monuments that are of importance in establishing his property lines. Instead of his being the assailant he maintains-that he was assnxilted by the two men and seriously hurt.
