The attendance, though not as full as could have been desired, was larger than usual, and much business of interest. and importance to the camp and its members was transacted. There was a liberal response to the appeal and the nucli-us of a fund was formed which weho no to see speedily swelled mitil it is large enough to pay for a handsome1monument to he erected on the public square in commemoration of confederate valor, heroism and devotion. This is a matter in which every citizen of the county should feel a deep and abiding interest that should manifest itself by giving material aid to the enterprise. A small donation from all who are able to contribute, would raise an amount sufficient forth© pur pose.
