HENDON CONGREGATIONAL SUNDAY SCHOOL FLOWER SHOW.The Annual Flower Show in connexion with the Hendon Congregational Sunday School was held on Monday in the Schools in New Brent Street. A great feature of this show (which is now in its fourteenth year) is, as many uf our readers know, that the children of the School receive packets of seeds at the proper time of the year, and from those seeds they have to grow their plants for competition. Of ), course, that is only one department of the show, but it is a prominent one. We ought to say that it is to Mr. George Arundel!, who has been so long identified with the show, that this year’s success is largely due. ,When the show opened, at four o'clock, the rooms were found to be prettily decorated with evergreens, Chinese lanterns, and hanging baskets, the latter kindly lent by Mr. E. T. Ritchie, and Mr. Evans (of Sunny Lodge). In one corner of the room was to be seen that “ hardy annual,” the sh fountain, which Mr. Reid kindly fixes in a little rockery. The lobby between the two rooms had beer fitted up with a stall for the sale of “ button-holes.’ It had been very prettily decorated with flowers fairy lights, and a tracery of creepers, by Miss Jane) _ Dunlop and Miss Chapman, who were also ir \ charge of the stall. The general decorations wen done by Miss Hughes, Mrs. C. Odell, Miss J Dunlop, Miss Windsor, and Messrs. C. Odell, G on Arundell. and G. Brandon.
