H. Slaughter was called to iho j chair, and R. Buck appointed Secrotnry, , The object of the meeting being briefly stated by the chair, the convention proceeded to business. On motion of I. W. Bud a committee of five was appointed by . the chair to apportion tho Ifi delegates for . the county of Dane, I. VV. Bird, Geo, ftlcFadden, Michael McCord, Tunis Slin-gerland and Geo. P. Thompson were appointed said committe'c, who reported the following: Tho prccincl of Madison 8 delegates/ Sun Prairie, 2; Albion, 2; Rutland, 1 ; Rome, 1 ; Dunkirk 1. On motion of Mr Blanchard, tho report was accepted nnd tho committee -discharged. The following named persons were duly appointed by the convention from the respective precincts:Madison—Geo.
