A 28- year - old Mansfielder was killed at 3:30 am. today when his car failed to negotiate a sharp turn and flipped over on Mt. Zion Rd., two miles east of State Route 39. Russell Larry Greenhill, of 1038 Gare Ave., the driver of the car, died at 5:15 a.m. in Mansfield General Hospital of inju ries sustained in the accident. Two passengers suffered minor injuries. Mary Ann Stentz, 22, of 12 Sunset Dr. was hospitalized with back injuries and James Woodruff, 19, of 1021 Fifth Ave. was treated for facial cuts and released from Mansfield General Hospital. Highway patrolmen said that Green hill’s car was traveling south on Mt. Zion Rad. when it failed to make the turn, hit a tree and flipped over pinning Greenhill un der the car. Greenhill’s death was the county’s 17th fatality of the year compared to 19 on the same date last year. Mr. Greenhill was born in Acme, W. Va., and lived in Mansfield for the past ten years. He was employed in the cutting department for the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. and was a member of the Mansfield Baptist Temple. He returned from service in Vietnam on Oct. 14, where he served with the U.S. Army as a ser geant in the signal corp. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lee Greenhill; one brother, Darrell Gale Greenhill, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mona Crawford. Services are pending at the Wappner Funeral Home.
