Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Covey, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cole, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Elliott, Miss Lucie Chris tian and Miss Lucile Hensarling drove to the Murray farm in Houston county, near Crockett Sunday afternoon. The success of this farm during the dreath has at tracted attention miles and miles around. There are 13,000 acres in cotton, which will average, it is estimated, around a half bale to the acre and those who have seen it say it is a wonderful sight ‘white unto harvest”’. Last week 2700 cotton ‘pickers besides the regular farm help that live on the place the year around worked in the fields. The farm has an electric equipped gin of eight stands that runs day and night, turning out 150 bales every 24 hours.
