MR. BENJAMIN DAWSON TO MISS ANNA MARGRETHE HOLDENSON, The marriage of Mr. Benjamin Daweon, manager of Messrs. Carnegie and Sons, syd ney, second son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Daweon, Kinkora-road, Hawthorn, Melbourne, and Miss Anna Margrethe Holdenson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Holdenson, “Leonie,” Stud lew Park, Melbourne, War celebrated at the eet Hawthorn Presbyterian Church, Power street, on Wedmesday afternoon, August 2, ‘The Rev. WH. Cooper was the officiating clergy man. The church was decorated by the girl friends of the bride with Iles and pot plants An arch with wedding bell suspended was erected near the altar. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in a gown of ivory Oriental satin, made on simple straight lines, trimmed with cord and tassels. The bodice had the odd effect, one sleeve being of lace, the whole trim med with sliver bead and bugle trimming. The long square train was edged with lace and em broidered chiffon, in exquisite leaf design, out lined with pearl and bugle trimming. The uncommon headdress worn by the bride was quite Parisienne and very smart, the veil being of Limerick Jace, lent by Mrs. Walter H. Carne gie. The bride carried a prayer book tied with ribbons and orange blossome. The bridesmade were Miss Effie Holdenson (sister of bride), Miss Minnie Dawson (sister of bridegroom), Miss Ethel Cornfoot, and two small trainbesarers, Gwen Carnegie and Phyllis Moorehead. They wore primrose Oriental satin, with prettily draped bodice and tunics of hand some silver embroidered ivory nnion, finished with satin girdles. Smart black silk tulle mob caps tied with black velvet were worn, and they carried posies of primrores and daffodils tied with black ribbons. The bridegroom's viste were single pearl rings. The little train bearers were dressed in white and carried posies of lily of the valley. Their gifts from the bridegroom were initialled gold bangles. The best man was Mr. W. Dawson (brother of the bridegroom), Mr. Robert Walters and Master Holdenson (brother of the bride) being Froomemen. After the ceremony a reception and wedding tea was held at the Kew Recreation Hall, which was beautifully decorated in shades of yellow and wistaria. A white floral arch and wedding bell was arranged where the bride and bridegroom received. The bride's mother wore a gown of rich grey satin, veiled with smoke grey lnion, trimmed with satin-wood bead and steel embroidery in trellis and con vcious design; large tissue rose setting off the dull nnion folds of bodice at the waist. Large black hat grouped with feathers. Posy of pansies and violets. The bridegroom's mother was in rich black crepe de chine, trimmed with beautiful lace. Smart black and saxe blue hat. Posy of pale pink carnations. The honeymoon is being spent at the Blue Mountains, and later Mr. and Mrs. Dawson will reside at Mosman, Sydney. The bride travelled in a mole cloth Parisienne skirt and coatee, black hat with feather lined with cerie, dark mole furs. The bridegroom's elft to the bride was a diamond brooch.
