A MINING DEALBoulder Age: A mining deal of some magnitude is in the sale which we understand has just been made by W. B. Gaffney of Boulder to the Hecla Consolidated Mining company of Beaverhead county. Mr. Gaffney mined in that country a number of years ago and patented a group of good claims, which he has held since, and which were contiguous to the claims operated by the Hecla company, which have produced hundreds of thousands of dollars. He now sells four of the claims to that company, and the check is for something over $12,000. This closes out his interests in Beaverhead county, and we understand that he will proceed to develop some properties in the vicinity of Boulder. He owns some claims adjoining those recently developed by Mr. Benjamin, three miles northwest of Boulder, where there are strong leads of galena-silver ore. and will soon begin development work onthem.
