Francis J. Posa Sr.BLAINE HILLFrancis J. Posa Sr., 77, of Blaine Hill, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Jefferson Hospital. He retired after teaching 36 years in the Elizabeth Forward School District. He was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. He was a former baseball and football coach at Elizabeth Forward, Clairton and West Jefferson Hills school districts. An avid polka lover, he especially enjoyed traveling with Ray J. and the Carousels. He was a member of Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Co. and Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge 526, enjoyed traveling and took many cruises. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events. Bom July 30, 1941, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Mary L. Cordero Posa. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Couchenour Posa; daughter, Francine (Ronald) Huss of Sutersville; son, Francis J. Posa Jr. of Forward Township; grandchildren, Gina and Matt Huss; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018. A Blessing will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard J. Tusky officiating.
