Nelson, Clarence Hollenbeck, Elmer Loyd, Lewis White, John Arm strong, Orville McLaughlin, Martin Ray, Albert Ray, Dale Keifer, Fred Hollis, Merle Freeborn and Miss Emma Higley. The gift table was covered with a pink net cloth underlaid with pink and centered with a bride doll and umbrella. Miss Dannenberg was assist ed in opening her gifts by her mother, Mrs. Robert Dannen berg, and Mrs. Clyde Moore, mother of the prospective bridegroom. Mrs. W.H. Nelson presented a reading ‘‘Advice to Single Girls. ’ Mrs. Gill presided at the guest book. Miss Dannenberg and Robert Moore will exchange marriage vows Aug. 21 at Holton. While vacationing in Colorado Springs with his family, Gene Miller, the electrician, ran into W.L. (Wink) Ward, formerly of Atchison. Wink is a Metropoli tan Insurance Co. agent in Colo rado Springs and is doing fine, according to Gene, ‘He recent ly built a new home there,’’ Gene said. The Millers also visited the new Mount St. Scho lastica Benedictine priory there and the Air Force Academy, ‘The Benedictine sisters have a beautiful location,’’ Gene said, “The buildings are on a bluff that overlooks the entire city.’’ Dominic Celano, LaSalle, Ill., is visiting his son, Vic Celano, 401 North Second street. Dominic is a retired portrait painter. Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Stowell, 100 O street, announce the mar riage of their daughter, Wanda Jean, to Donald E. Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn J. Mar tin, 115 North Ninth street. The double ring ceremony was performed in Miami, Okla., Aug. 4, with Justice of the Peace Floyd F. Branson officiating. The bride attended Topeka High school. Mr. Martin is a graduate of the Atchison High school. He is a member of the Troy National Guard and is stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He was formerly employ ed by Safeway and plans to con tinue his work there on conclu sion of his six months’ active duty. The bride will live at the home of her parents until Mr. Martin returns in October, Mrs. Fred Ehret, Intfen Sales, will be watching tele vision this afternoon. Her cou sin, Janis Porter of Minnea polis, Minn., will appear on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour as a contestant. Funeral services for Ches ter Albert Leggett, 68, Rich mond, Mo., father of Miss Mary L. Leggett of Atchison, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the National Cemetery at Fort Leavenworth. Mr. Leggett died Thursday at the Veterans hos pital in Kansas City and the body is at the Weilert South side chapel there. He was born in Mount Moriah, Mo., and has lived most of his life in Rich mond where he was a machinist for the Missouri Pacific rail road before he retired in 1963. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Christian church at Lexington, MO. Be sides his daughter here, he is survived by three other daugh ters, Mrs. Linda Martin, Lex ington, Miss Joan R.
