Faced with a wor-ld-threat *KNOW THAT, WHATEVER. THE CDSCapt. Henry Pratten Receives Commendation Ribbon In JapanAt a colorful ceremony held recently Capt. Henry Pratten of Elmhurst, was decorated with the Commendation Ribbon.Capt. Pratten, who is the Wing Tecnical Supply Officer in the 437th Troop Carrier Wing, an intregal part of Far East Air Force’s Combat Cargo Command, was awarded the Commendation Ribbon for meritorious service in the Conduct of his fluty from Aug. 10, 1950 to Nov. 30, 1950. During that time, the C-46 Curtiss Commandos of the 437th participated in such famous missions as the para-troop attack at Munsanni So carefully and efficiently did the Wing’s pilots execute the difficult maneuvers required over the enbny-held drop zone that not one of the 437th p1a-m»s was damaged nor was acrew member injured.The 437’s C-46 “Commando” aircraft haul five-ton loads of vital cargo and personnel to small, frontline airstrips in support of the United Nations air and ground combat units. Cargo includes food, ammunition for planes and artillery, gasoline for fighter planes and tanks, medical supplies and combat personnel.
