NEW YORK, «A 6—Some where in New York, New Jersey, or ossibly in a neighboring State, live in straitened circumstances an elder ly couple, born in Calcutta, India, for whom a comfortable home is waiting in Atlanta, Georgia. Friend of a family by whom Mr and Mrs. Joe Hijo were brought from Calcutta as servants, some forty years ago. Miss Leo Morris has spent Bath time and money to find this couple, but to no avail. She has now enlisted the aid of the Press, and is offering a reward of $150.00 to the first person giving cor rect information as to their where abouts, it was learned from the po lice. About seven years ago came the death of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Peter Pogose by whom the couple were em loyed from the time of their arrival n America in July Jara. _ Mr. and Mrs. Hijo have lived in Newburgh, N. Y., Ringwood, N. J., West Englewood, N. J., Hilburn, N. Y., New York City, Brooklyn, New York, Tappan, N. Y., and Orange burg, New York, moving from Or angeburg in October 1927, — since which time neither Miss Morris nor those assisting her in her search have had any word from them, Mrs. Hija has long straight hair and wears it braided much of the time. Her husband's hair and beard are almost white. Their color is dark. The couple speak Hindu’s language and broken English. They are be tween 70 and 76 years of age, getting feeble, and in destitute circumstance s. Miss Morris, in conducting the search for this aged couple, is per forming a labor of love.
