Thousands of People Saw Rodeo at KeotaKeota. August 7.—Two thousandpeople attended the rodeo which was; held at Maplehurst. the (’harles ASingmaster ranch, on Sunday afternoon. The rodeo was under the flirtation of Pete Carr who brought hi* out Tit of men, ponies, steers and buffalo to Keota more than a week before the dat**s of the performance.The rodeo was sponsored by C A Singmaster and his son, Sammle Singmaster. Mr (birr iand his men were here last summer jand put on a rodeo at the same place under the usplces of the local post of the American Legion. The attendance then was about six thousand and the Legion cleared about $.“00.00 Therewas considerable criticism of the Lesion for sponsoring a Sunday performance and this year they declined to back it. Tiie attendance Saturday and Sunday was, for the most part, from outside the community. No doubt unfavorable weather and had roads kept many away.
