Sewerage Bids Opened This Afternoon. Nine men representing as many companies or individuals, sat in Mayor Juckisinger's ofice this afternoon hold ing their breath awaiting the opening of the bids for putting in the sewerage system, ‘I'be following all the bids per linear foot for 4,800 feet. The bids for manholes, catch basin and masonry differ somewhat and are not taken 10 with the bid per foot. They are W. N. Wheeler Co., Beloit, 60 cents; Wm. Foreston, Milwaukee, 63 cents; ‘I. N. Niles Co., Monrog, 68 cents; Monoroe Planing Mill Co., 47% cents; Jacob] Werner, Milwaukee, 48 cents; James Maskey, Milwaukee, 53 cents; Rock Torch Construction Co., 59 cents; J. MM. Kennedy, Freeport, 4) cents; N. F. Richert, Racine, 47 cents. ‘The coun cil will hold a special meeting tonight to act on the sewer business. As it is understood the committes reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids on all, or part of the work. The Mon roe Planing Mill Co. are only $24.00 higher than the lowest bid on the 4,880 feet of sewer or $2,280 worth of work and W. If. Wheeler is #2 per card sJower on the masonry. Way not ats cept Monroe kids and leave our work, at home.
