A. Hnndwomo Block*It has finally bren determined by Messrs. Bum Crawford, and Mr, Reeder Suits, to add lo thoir block of stores now in oourso of erection, on the oorncr of Col-' lege Avonuo and Appleton Sts , a third ■lory, The style of architecture of the third story is to be what ia known as a “French Roof.” Also, they have determined to put in an iron front, instead of wood, to the whole block. J. M. Barker, Architect and builder, with a commendable 'public spirit, offered to furnish the nrohitiotural plans, and superintend tha work without pay, other than the satisfaction of seeing a handsome block on that corner, as an inducement to the parties building, to add the third story and adopt tho stylo stated. We tnsko these announcements with gratification, Muoh credit is due all parties concerned for the spirit of improvement displayed. The block will be a ornament to the business portion of our City.
