(Elma Lucille) McArthur, 68, of 3031 McArthur Drive in La Marque, died Aug. 3 at Galveston County Memorial Hospital.Funeral services were held Aug. 5 in the chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home of La Marque, the Rev. Allen Luker officiated Burial was in Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock.Mrs. McArtnur was bomMay 9,19Q6, in Galveston, and Was a lifetime resident of Galveston County. She had resided in La Marque the past 26 years.She\was a member, of Highlands Baptist Church, La Marque. \Survivor's include two daughters, Mrs. Hilton Hale of Clarendon Hills, 111. and Mrs. William Karl of Hitchcock; a son, Ed McArthur of Texas City; three sisters, Mrs. Sammuel Jewell and Mrs. George Lieberman, both o Galveston, and Mrs. Milton Manning of Tomball, Texas, a brother, A. H. (Buddy) Rowland of Galveston; and two grandchildren.
