The executive director of the Galesburg Human Relations Commission (HRC) today said she has no plans to continue her work as head of that office. Mrs. Wilder will begin class es at Knox College Sept. 10 and will major in social work or ele mentary education. The director in June said she was considering attending Knox but would try to continue to work with HRC on a part-time basis. Today she said she has no plans to do this. “Everything is going profes sional these days,” said Mrs. Wilder. She added she wants to get an academic background and eventually continue to work with people. Before coming to the commis sion in February, 1971, she at tended night school at Knox College and Brown’s Business College for nine months. She also served on the Carver Com munity Center Board of Direc tors and the executive board of the Galesburg branch of the Na tional Assn. for the Advance ment of Colored People (NAAC P). In addition to the position to be left vacant by Mrs. Wilder this September, the board is lacking a chairman, due to the resignation in June of Mrs. Caroline Goltermann. Louise Wilder
