Fletcher C. BarnesFletcher Cleveland Barnes, 78, a resident of Hitchcock for the past 8 years and father of Mrs. Hayden Curtis and Mrs. Donald R, Curtis, both of Hitchcock, died Friday at his residence following a long illness. Born Oct. 25, 1884 in Honey Grove, Texas, other survivors include three otherdaughters, Mrs. Dewey Fox of Honey Grove; Mrs. W. Burt of Holuke, Miss, and Miss Maryetta Barnes of Hitchcock;a sister, Mrs. W. E. Lewis of Pittsburgh, Texas, and fivegrandchildren. Funeral services were held in Honey Grove with burial in Oakridge Cemetery there on Sunday under the local direction of Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
