MATH J. BODE, 73,♦EXPIRES AT HOSPITALAFTER SHORT ILLNESSMath J. Bode, 73, of 114 3rd Ave, SE died Saturday at Sacred Heart hospital after a short illness.Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating. Burial will be in Calvarycemetery. ■ . 'Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.Mr. Bode was born Sept. 27, 1888, at Bisson, Luxembourg. ‘He came to this country in 1914 and settled near Remsen. He resided in Le Mars the last 15 years since retiring from farming in Remsen community.• His marriage to Clara Oswald took place Sept. 2, 1924, at Mount Carmel, Iowa. She survives, as do a son, Carl, of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. William Strehl of Remsen andftMrs. Ray Konz of Granville;. 14 grandchildren and four brothers, Ted of Howard, S. D., John, Mike and Theophil, allin Luxembourg. j He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine.
