Honor Returned Soldier.Mr. and Mrs. Gar Hennings very • pleasantly surprised Private Walter I Yenney Sunday evening by inviting 1 sixty of his friends to spend the evening with them. A two-eourse luncheon was served and an interesting talk was made by Hon. C. S. Amsden in honor of the soldier , boys present, and he presented Wal-, ter with $11 as a gift from his ' friends. Following this Miss AverilAmsden rendered a fine selection on the piano and sang a number of sclos, and Mts. Frank Kibbe and ! Miss Amsden sang a couple of duettos, and a male quartette, consisting of Casper Amsden. Billy Reese, Oscar Manning and FloydMaxwell, with an accompaniment ( by Miss Amsden.sang several songs.One of the very happy features of the evening was the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Miller and children, of Eden, S. D., former friends and neighbors, who enjoyed this reunion with old friends. All were having such a good time that the party did not break up up until a very late hour.j Walter Yenny, after his discharge ; from the army a few week9 ago, made a visit to his mother and sister at Ackley, Iowa, and to a brother in Minneapolis. He was in the railroad wreck at Olivia when ; on hi9 way to Milbank, but was un-| injured. He has engaged to work for Gar Hennings for some time.
