are lniormed tne noneymoon mil De spent-.Parish Church Sunday Schools.—OnWednesday afternoon last the annual treat to the scholars of the above schools too-k place in the grounds of Bentley Priory, kindly lent for the 'occasion by Mr. Gordon. The children assembled in the Philathletic field at one o’clock, and were conveyed to their destination in brakes and vans. Mr. Taylor, head gardener to Mr. Gordon, had made ’ all arrangements for their reception, including swings, and even to the marking out of cricket pitches for the boys, together with the indispensable boiling of water for tea. Accompanying the excursion were the Rev. W. I). Williams, Mrs. John Prior, Miss Hutton-Potts, Miss Faulder, Miss Charles, two of the Misses Joyce, Mr. and Mrs. Gurney, Miss Horley, Mis. Senon, Miss Pagan, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd, Mr. W. J. Page, Mr. Horns, Miss Norris, Mrs. Woodhall, Mr. and Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Fred Smith senr., Mr. and Mrs. J. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Smith, Mr. Bayliss, Mr. and Mrs. Pritchett, Miss H. Lloyd, and a number of other teachers, Mends, and helpers. In addition to the Sunday scholars, of whom there must have been at least 200, there were the members of Miss Faulder’s Girls’ Bible Class, the choir boys, the children from Kenton Schools, and some of the children attending the vicar’s afternoon services, the total number probably approaching 300. We have been asked through these columns to convey the thanks of the promoters to Mr. Gordon, to : the many friends who so kindly assisted with cash, and with cake, to Mr. Taylor and his staff, to Mr. Bummer, who conveyed the provisions and utensils free of charge and to the many helpers who by their presence and aid so materially contributed to the success of the outing. lt;We ought to mention that the conduct of the children was most orderly throughout.
