ciplea. ”Youth Dbowsibdv—An inquest was held on Saturday last, at the Rifle, Fulham Palace-road, on the body of John Floodgate, of 14, Chelmsford-Btreet,aged 11 years, who was drowned in the river Thames near Crab Tree, whilst bathing on Friday morning. William Stoke, of Greyhound*road, Fulham said he was down by the Crab Tree, and saw the boys go in the water. He cautioned them, as it was very muddy. Deceased got out of his depth. He heard him call out for help. He got his boat and tried all he eotrld to save him, and when he got to him it was too late, he hsd sunk. Witness recovered the body with the drags. Verdict, accidentally drowned.
