KudosEastonite wins Kohl’s scholarshipAmy Wolff, 17, of Easton has been named a regional winner in the Kohl’s Department Stores Kids Who Care volunteer program for her outstanding volunteer efforts. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship for post-sec-ondary education and become/eligible to receive one of 10 national $5,000 scholarships. Wolff coordinated PlatesAgainst Poverty, including soliciting corporate donations, securing volunteer help, publicity, set-up, menu and clean-up. The dinner raised over $40,000 to support the Bridgeport Rescue Mission homeless shelter. She also organized a group of her peers at Trumbull’s Christian Heritage School to help with the event.
