On July 10th I was prompted by a very nice lady in Jackson to inquire about the CP drive here in the state and its drive for $200,000 for the current year. It was pointed out that the state would have 240 CP babies this year, at the current rate. I wondered what would be done about the percentage of that 240 which happened to be born of Negro parents, inasmuch as there isn't a clinic for Negro children. A month after wondering I still haven't found out what's to happen tothem. . j l u*I hope no one misunderstands my attitude about thismatter. My aim is not to hurt or hamper in any-way the CP program. But I am concerned about ALL such children, not just part of them. Where human beings are involved, I fail to appreciate discrimination, especially if part of them are crippled.Anyway, if anyone can shed some light on the matter, I'd appreciate hearing from them..
