TIRES OF LIVINGGEO. BUCHLI BLOWS THE TOP OF,HIS HEAD Off WITH A SHOTGUN.No Apparent Cause For the Act and It is Believed That He Was*Temporarily Demented.(loo. Buchli, living two miles west of Powell, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a shotgun jast Saturday.‘The deceased had a wife, two sons and daughter/ One son is married and occupied the adjoining farm to his father, while the other two children were at home. The two latter were attending a picnic at Alexandria, and Mr. and Mrs. Buchli were alone in the house at the time of the tragedy. Mrs. B. was in the Cellar attending to some work when she heard the report of a gun. She ran up stairs and found the body of her husband prostrate upon the bed, the top of his head completely blown away and his brains scattered about the room in a shocking manner. He had tied a string to the trigger of hjs shotgun making a loop through which he placed his foot, lay dpwn upon the,bed, and pressing t-he muzzle tightly to his face just below one -of his eyes discharged rho weapon.Duroner Perry was. summoned and held an inquest, but the evidence re- | vealed no apparent cause for the art* as his home had been an utmsu dlv happy one, and he wras in very prosperous circurpstances financially. It was found, however/ that about two weeks previous he had become overheated while working in the field, from which he had hardly recovered, and that immediately preceding the tragedy he had been cleaning out a chimney in the garret of his residence next to the roof, and it is presumed the intense heat temporarily unbalanced his mind.
