Sixty-fifth Regiment Starts on Its Six Days Tour of Duty, Buffalo, Aug. 5. At 9 .o'clock this morning’ the Sixty-fifth Regiment start, ‘ed-on six-days’ tour of ‘field service: the first of the kind ever performed by any regiment of the National Guard in this State.” Under command ‘Of Colonel, Welch, the regiment took a ‘train to Hamburg, ‘where it, will alight ‘and march 6 Boston, Glenwood, Holland, South Wales,and East Aurora, all Erie, county towns, proceeding thence by train’ to Buffalo, arriving here’ Saturday’ even ing. . The marches on foot will vary from, five to_e ight miles a.day and.the duty. will embrace advance, rear and gut, post guard and, evolutions in extended order, illustrating attack and ‘defense.
