051 !fobNorlli Ilnkotn Kplaeopal Convocation.Thu annual convocation of the Episcopal •hurcliof North Dakota was held at Fargo; Bishop Kuickerhackcrof Indiana preached. Rev. B. F. t'ooley was elected secretary, and h. 11. Gibbs 1 roamirer.Bishop Walker’s address was listened to with much interest. He said:There were six churches edifices built or being constructed, while twelve more were netshsl immediately, hut each of the hitter would require from Sl.OOtj to $15,000 as* sistayiee from tie* outside, and full as large ail amount would also beraised right in the parishes. He urged the need of a school fur girls. and said that a theological institution was needed. We have as yet no barn-like Mtructure nnywhere which. bv a pleasing fiction, is named tic Cathedral hi North Dakota. The hlshop, as yet, is doing the work of a Met hod hit circuit rider. No one spot is my homo. These houses are generally the interior of a railroad car. This must he the case for some time to come until the whole field is organised. My aim is not to erect one splendid, pompous church where my throne shall stand, hut to plant here and there where knots of Hod's jieorlc cluster, the chaste churchly sanctuary in which, for the comfort of hungering souls, the hread of life may lie broken and the word of life may be spoken. The reports of the parish and mission station which have reached me, show* that sixty-four persons have been baptized since my work hen* jfegan. thirty-nine have been confirmed, lift.v-one couples have Ih'cii married and tw»*nty-three funerals have been atlended.
