“Negro Riots.”—The secesh Democracy have for some time been artfully engaged in fomenting jealousicsamong our foreign»born citizens against nei’ro laborers—trying to make them believ* that if the negroes are set free they will come North and cut the white laborers out of employment—charges which these secesh well know to be baseless as the winds. The result baa in part appeared in what are called negro riots in Cincinnati, Toledo, and other places, in which white mobs made an indiscriminate war upon this defenceless class. Lately, in the southern part of this State, in consequence of the state of feeling thus induced, a negro was provoked to shoot a white man. A mob was thereupon forthwith inaugurated, which proceeded to attack, maltreat, beat and almost murder all the negroes of the vicinity, most of whom were perfectly ignorant of the transaction. And the civil authorities made no effort tokeep the peace fThe wicked instigators tor partisanpurposes of this causeless ill-feeling uudstrife richly deserve hanging.Lb
