MRS- MARGARET GAYMrs. Margaret Gay of Spencer, whose funeral services were fieldk'yesterday at the Cobb Funeral Home, was born Nov. Gt 1864 fn County Down, Ireland. She came to this country with her parents at six years of age and lived In New York state until 1868 when i she was united In marriage with j William M, Gay, who preceded her in death In 1900.After her marriage, Mrs. Gay, whose maiden name was Margaret Noble, lived in Humboldt and vicinity until 1920. At that time she came to Spencer to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. O. Short, She had been in poor health for the past nine years. On Saturday, August 8, she passed away at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 28 days.Mrs. Gay was the mother of 3 children, Ells, Mrs. Fred Fleming of Livermore, who preceded her In death in 1931; Frank of Minneapolis and Winifred, Mrs. L, O. Short of Spencer. She ulso. leaves, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchldren. ,Interment was made In the Humboldt cemetery.
