Meet in Regular Session Monday and Attend to Considerable Road and Ditch Work and Award Contracts Bonds were ordered issued in the Pharos Robeson et al gravel road in Jackson township, and the C.R. Pollard et al. gravel road in Deer Creek town ship. In the circuit court letters of admin istration were granted to John A. Blue and Harvey R. Calhoun in the Jonathan Calhoun estate. Letters were also granted to Chac. and Raymond Coble in the Henry Wilson Coble estate. Taxes were ordered refunded to C. L. V. Reynolds to the amount of $28.85. The petitions of Robert Johnson et al, for a gravel road in Democrat town ship, and Chrisian Young et.al, for a gravel road in Jefferson township were ordered spread of record. Contract for coals were awarded to Haugh Coal Company. The Logansport Southern Traction Company filed their acceptance to a franchise granted them at the June term, 1910. S. L. Goslee, W. H. Wright E. A. McFarland, reviewers on a highway in Burlington township, petitioned for by Robert F. Johnson et al, reported that highway would not be of public utility and petition was dismissed. Robert Jewett and Newman Viney were appointed reviewers for a high way on the line between White and Carroll counties, petitioned ‘for by F. ¥. McCully et al. Emerson Knight was appointed student to Purdue University, §. S. Doty, surveyor, presented his report on the Maggie R. Michaels drain in’ Washington township. Same was approved by the Board and drain ordered established. Chas. E. Wilcox, Lee Purdie, Joseph Hitchens, Ross Meek, Frank E. Bowen, G. T. Gard, Floyd Reeder, Bert Mc Cain and David Maxwell were appoint ed constables to the Flora Detective Association. Over 200 persons were present at the first annual reunion of the Wheeling Choral Union held at Wheeling Satur day July 28. The Union was organized about 20 years ago. A permanent or ganization was effected and the follow ing officers were elected: W. J. Landis, Pres., J. C. Trent, vice-president; W. E. Moore, secretary. Misses Leona Wingard, Laura Titlow, Mabel Acheson, Ruth Edmonds, Maud and Bess Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Maxwell, Bowen Robison and Haughey Mount went on the excursion to Nia gara Falls Thursday. Mrs. Sarah Jameson, of Logansport, celebrated her 97th birthday at her home Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stansell, of Rockfield, and Mrs. Joe Sims, of this city, were present. Mrs. Pratt Haun and son, Gentry, of Burlington, visited M. G. Haun and family this week.
