THE TENT CITY ' -15 PLATTEDA Hundred People in Ravine Park Thursday Locating Chautauqua Homes.THIRTY-SEVEN ARE LOCATED.A Large Number Who intend to Camp Were Not Present.—Names of Those Who Are Now Located.—At Least Eight More to Come.There were more people In Ravine Park Thursday than on any week day since the pavilion was begun. Their purpose was to he present for the assignmet of locations for tents for the Chautauqua, i The assignment of locations was in charge of the regular committee,- H. VV. AT wiki, K. E. Ray and Geo, 15. Curtis, who were all present. Thei assignments were made by agreement. That is, those whose who 1 had engaged tents were asked to i select the place they wanted, the t sites having been staked off the day• before, and whenever there were two or more that wanted the same place,r the matter was easily adjusteff by ■i mutual consent. The temper of the• people was unmistakably against r i allotment bv chance, and the com-i rtilttee did wisely in adopting the , plan they used, for there was no con* 7 tiiet of desires that led to any bitterfeeling.The matter was well handled by the committee, the chairman espec-, Jally handling situations to the sat-1 isfactlon of all, at times when diplo-2 macy and tact were needed., Tt will help In locating the tents to- know that the locations are num-f bered from the east end of the pa-i vlllon, In an Irregular curve around r to the left. Lots 1 to LI are north . of the pavilion; 10 to 22 are up onthe hill where the tents were last year; 23 to 40 are In the space to the right of what was the extreme last year, curving towards the pavilion ‘ along the creek and race track; 40 to 50 are on the hill back of lots 10 to 15.The names of campers, their locations and the sizes of their tents are: Z 1 Fred Rohlfing, 12 by 14.2 B.
