The husband had no doubt been reading about the ‘‘wrath of god” just before turning them out. This is the only true worshiper god had in the town, and the people say he must go. Surely the time has come when it is not pleasant or profitable to be a true worshiper of that being who made the little sun and moon and hung them in the firmament—the one to give light by day and the other by night—to accommodate this great big flat earth with its four corners and pillars. It so happens (to that husband’s great benefit) that the people of the town where he lives are almost all infidels. If there had been many of his brethren there
