The youngsters secured a script, practiced for weeks and put on a production of Snow White in the back yard at the home of John and Joan Dobrez, 147th and Massasoit. The show was jointly produced by Cathy Dobrez and Colleen Mahoney. The first half was devoted to variety, wherein the youngsters sang, danced and twirled batons. The second half consisted of the play, which was a costume affair. The young thespians included Colleen and Cathy Nagle, Janet Skubnik, Jean and Joan Crowley, Kim and Colleen Mahoney, Denise Micnerski, Randy Ranson, Rickey and Cathy Dobrez, and Tommy and Tiger Dobrez, who put on a clown act. They passed out fliers advertising the show and sold tickets. Their audience consisted of 50 children and adults, and the critics gave them rave reviews. Well, that’s show biz.
