A LIVELY CAMPnr; SILVER KING MILL STARTED UP-MILL ORDERED FOR THE KEYSTONEMINETFred S ftlyero, one of the principal owners of the Silver King mine, arrived in the city Friday afternoon, direct from the old camp. Mr. Myers came out to met his brother Herman Myers of Savannah. Ga.. who will return to the camp with him. Mr. Herman Myers is also interested in the Silver King.To a Signal reporter Mr. Myers stated that the ten-stamp mill ou the Silver King mine was started up the first of August A number of im. provements and additions had been made to it since the test ruu made; last fall Twenty canvas amalgamating tables.have been added to its equipmentAt the Silver King a Urge amount of development work ba» been done. A tunnel has been run in 400 feet, that will be 1300 feet long when it reaches the point aimed at It will lap the vein 700 feet telow the surface. Mr. Myers states that they have suffloient ore on hand to keep the mill engaged for a year aud a half. The Silver King ledge is a very large one, and the ore averages $06 per ton3fraInsLmacHIConsiderable work is being done at the Keystone mine, about four miles from Warren. A lioist has been placed on the mine, buildings are being erected, etc. There is sufficient ore in sight aud ou the dump to justify the purchase of a mill, and a mill known as the Merrill mill has been purchased at San Fran cisco, and was to have been shipped within 20 days. It will crush sixteen tons per day. Mr. Myers states that the ore on the dump of the Keystone, which was taken out several year* ago, will average $20 per tdn. A good wagon rood has been built from the mine to Warren. The Keystone does not belong to the Silver King company but is being operated under their management.The Silver King company is workiug 42 miners, and wants al least ten more. Wages are 13.50 ! per day.Mr. Myers says the old camp of • Warren is becoming lively.
