gA Merry Time.On last Friday evening, a merry party was gathered at the beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. F S. Etheridge to enjoy the evening in a most delightful way. Misses Lamar and j Brown met us with that graceful and j winning manner which caught all our hearts. We were all very soon gathered together in ihe brilliantly lighted parlor, where we all felt that a genial liow cl welcome and ea e per-vad the atmosphere. Mr. Flo,) d 1 Etheridge and Miss Dnke appointee f and overlooked several very delight- I ful and some very amusing games, f •‘Going to Jerusalem” seemed to be the order of the day and some t were well informed of the route they 1 should follow. “Cross words and Crooked answers” was also a very ' popular game. Misses Lamar aim 1 Brown in their sweet and cirrr.| 1 robes of muslin and rihti^n, look© 11 q lite attractive and - folly realised the charms of thef OVelyyaang la* t dies. Later in toe evening Mis. ( Etheridge, our kind hostess, invited us in the dining room to partake of ( delightful and refreshing ices. The f table was spread in snowy white damask and a lovely urn of choicest roses from a beautiful centre piece. | After supper, we had songs and mu- r sic and also gay and pleasant con- 5 versation occupied our time. About , 12 o’clock we bade “good night” to our Kind friends, to whom wi feel a debt of gratitude. Those present I ‘ were the following : ,Misses Annie Ball, Annie Mallet. , Fannie Furlow, Susie Davis, Addie i Tennant, Fannie Boyt Smith, Bessie Daughtry, Pearl Stallsworth, Annie Crawford, Mary Will Brown, Eva; May Laud, Sallie May Ball, Lois Duke, Helen Land, Ernestine Dempsey and Clara Harden.Messrs.
