The Convention wan organized on the 21st nit., and in the after* noon, proceeded to billot, but without success. At the lime of adjournment, late in the evening, there had bi.en luc-Le ballots taken—the IbbI ot which was a tie on the three principal candidates, each receiving 20 vales The contest was chiefly between Moses M, Strong Morgan L .Martin, and Hiram Barber. How the choice came to fall upon one, who is so justly unpopular among the people, is mere than we can imagine.Under the circumstances, we cannot cons sider this nomination in any other light than as a gross outrage upon the good seme and morality ol the people of this Territory; and, unless we are very much mistaken in our cr* lira ate of their character, they will so consider it, at. the September election.—Green Bay Republican.Uxci.f.
