Obituary.John Wesley Bilbo •was born January 10, 1855, northwestox Wavela-nd, Ind. He was the third child of David and Mary Thorn town Bilbo, both whom are deceased.He died at. his home in Russellville July 24, 1921. aged 69 years,'6 months and 14 days.His early life was spent- in ana around Wavelsnd where he attended the. public schools,Id 1{}74 he was maniod toArmi'sla Evans, who preneededhim in death on December SI.$*1919. To this union was born one son who died in infancy. When a yonng man Dr. Bilboread medicine with Dr. Steele.| in Wa veiand, after which he i attended and graduated from the Medical College of Louis vilie, Ivy. He also took post graduate work in a IndianaMedical College.After the death of Dr. Beardin Russellville he located herewhere he has served the peopleas one of the leading physicans.■Late in life he placed bis church membership, during a revival in the Methodist church serving as one of the trustees in the church no to the time of his physical breakdown. He was interested in serving the church, in any capacity and generously to support.He was also a member of the Mr.sonic and Knights of Pythias lodges,Dr. Bilbo had some fine traits of character. He was naturally of a bind, gentle disposition and was capable of being a true friend. He was especially interested in the affairs of Russell-ville and was very chairilable 1 to those in need and will be remembered kindly by many whom he has helped, profess* i loaly and financially, - jDr. Bilbo suffered a light' stroke of paralysis following his ; faithful service to the people, j during the winter of the tkflu”j | epidemic, but was able to con-| i tinue his practice until Oct, 5.' J20, when he suffered the secondstroke. He was patient in his. ■sufferings which. at times were most severe and expressed adesire to xgo to his rest as he• .was ready.Dr. Bilbo is the last of his family.
