Tho Team is Pound,Tuesday morning Fred Boucher who Jives 11 miles north west from Iowa Falls, on the Popejoy farm, went out about half past live to pick a mess o£ beans, and he noticed a top buggy standing by the willow hedge down the rond a short distance from the house. After Breakfast, seeing the buggy still there he walked down to it and found the team hitched to the hedge. . They had been unhitched from the buggy, the tugs and lines done up nicely, and then hitched long enough and low euough so they could crop the grass. Thep showed evidence of having been very wet with sweat but had dried off. Boucher thinking some agent had loft them there while he went to one of the neighbor’s did not disturb them. When he returned from the field at noon however, the team was still there and whinnying and he brought them to tho house and gave them water and feed. The next morning, no one huv- . ing appeared to claim the team, ho and a neighbor examined the buggy and under tho edge of the cushion they found a small pamphlet. “Life’s Hidden Secrets.’’ When they picked the book up a fifty cent silver piece droped out of it. On the back cover of the book there was written in pencil; “Please telegraph to the liveryman that his team is here. He lives in Etdora, Iowa.” Instead of telegraphing, however, Boucher kept the team waiting for some one to come on a hunt for it. The next clay one of his neighbors was in Iowa Falls and Billy Burgess told him the team was Deyo’B and to have Boucher ; bring them to Iowa Falls and he would pay him, but the neighbor did not tell him. Thursday morning however Boucher drove the team to Iowa Falla, and f the same day Deyo brought them home. \ The team was not injured any by their drive. The place where the team was left is about three miles from Burdette on the B. 0. B. N. in Franklin;; couuty, about five miles from Geueva and seven, miles from Hampton. . f Hr.
