Capt. Jackson, about forty-five years of age, said to be a brother of Stonewall Jackson, fell overboard from the steamer Landis, on her last trip lrom Mobile to New Orleans, and wa9 drowned. He had been wounded three times while in the service, and at the time of his death was en route for Galveston. Capt. Jackson was formerly a merchant of Augusta, Ga.
