Miss Evelyn Herron, bride-elect of Elvin Kimbrell of Arlington, was guest of honor at a wedding shower given by members of the First Baptist church. Hostesses for the affair were Mrs. James Hutch ison, Mrs. Tennyson Lewis and Mrs. Emmet Sanford. Evelyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Herron of 848 West Olive street, will become the bride of Mr. Kimbrell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kimbrell of Arlington, in an Aug. 6 ceremony in the First Baptist church. After Evelyn opened her many lovely gifts, refreshments of cake and punch were served to Mrs. Ernest Kimbrell and daughters, Fleeta and Mary Della; Mrs. Ben McDaniels and daughter, Lorene; Mrs. James Hutchison and daugh ter, Ja’May; Mrs. Tennyson Lewis and daughter, Peggy; Mrs. Emmet Sanford and daughters, Joanne and Jinda; Mrs. Ray Gomer and daughter, Laura, Mrs. Bernard Henneuse, Mrs. George Herron, Mrs. Horace Howard, Mrs. Wayne Ogden, Mrs. Joe Lewis, Mrs. A. T. David, Mrs. Cecil Henson, Mrs. Harold James, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Bernice Todd, Mrs. John Burns, Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. James Her ron, Mrs. Newton Moffett, Mrs. Fred Russell, Mrs. Amanda Ran dall and Mrs. Walter Herron. Sending gifts but unable to at tend the shower, were Mrs. Joe Hillhouse, Mrs. Fred Strange and Mrs. George Atkins.
