FAMILY HAS NARROW _ESCAPE WHEN CAR TURNSAn automobile accident, in which j fcur persons miraculously escaped death, occurred last Sunday morning on the Hat Creek road about five miles from Lusk, when the steering crossrod of a Hudson Super-Sixsnapped. ,The car was occupied by Mr. anuMrs Mike Sredanovic and two children,’ one but an infant. The former two were sitting in the front seat and the youngest in the back. The accident took place at the turn of the road and Mr. • Sredanovic says that he was going at about a I5™1 L‘ gait when the crossrod broke, the car skidded at least three times its entire length and then completely turned over, lying crosswise with road, the front wheels directly over the center of the road and the rear wheels over the ditch alongside.It all happened so suddenly that none was able to get out of the carand as soon as Mr. Sredanovic freedhimself, he went to help his wife outof the entanglement. Although notunconscious at the time, as soon as the woman thought of her children she fainted, and when brought backto conscounsness, the couple soughtto aid the children.A large heavy trunk which wascarried in the rear of the machine,had fallen on top of the two tots, butin such a manner us to only pinionthem down. When taken from the |wreckage, it was found tint neither'was seriously hurt.—Lusk Herald.
