This variety has a record of 250 eggs per year which is the highest on record. The Neubert Co. has one of the largest farms in the country devoted to the chicken in dustry and is a contender at all the big shows of the country. ~Mr. Wilsey Prop. of the 147 Trans fer Co. has purchased a Ford truck to take care of baggage and express packages to and from Bergman, Call 147 by 9:30 a. m. each day so they may gather your baggage and express. This truck returns to Harrison as soon as the Bergman train runs. So you may have your baggage and express by 2 o’clock each day. 8-1-1f -Rev. and Mrs. N. L. Range and child, of Fort Worth, Texas, arrived recently on the way to Parthenon, where Rev. Range has accepted a posi tion with the Academy. He is a grad uate of Baylor University and of the Theological Seminary at Fort Worth, Texas. He will conduct a number of revivals before school opens. —A number of our ladies and chil dren enjoyed an afternoon at Pettit’s Ford yesterday swimming and also a treat on watermelons. Among those who went were Mesdames L. C. and John D. Tyson, C. M. Greene, John Keener L. D. Harlin, J. B. Holder, D. A. Smith, J. H. Heyward, J. M. Shinn, W. A. Whitaker, Newt Nich olson, J. R. Jones and Hammer schmidt and Misses Ruby Phelps, Martha Shinn, Martha Greene, Mar guerite Tyson, Ruth Pettit, Lena James, Mary and Helen Snapp. A number of children and John Phelps. Read it in the Times First. —L. W. Clark, of Jasper, has pur chased a new Ford in Harrison. He and his son, Lawrence, have lately returned from a trip to Little Rock by automobile. Mr. Clark is one of the Newton county highway commis sioners and is pushing the construc tion work on the highway between Jasper and the Boone county line.
