RESTS FROM HIS LABORSFuneral ol Late Robert Suitor Largely Attended by Old Friends and Neighbors.The funeral of the late Robert Suitor at the Methodist Episcopal Church, Sunduy afternoon, was largely attended by old-time neighbor* aud friends of tho family. Tho officer* and members of Friendship Lodge, No. C. I. O. O. F., of whidh lodge? Mr. Suitor was long a faithful aud valued member, ntteuded the services in a body.The remains arrived from Vancouver, Washington, on Friday’s evening train, accompanied by Mrs. Suitor, her sou Elzio, and D. J. Iilley. A large crowd was present at tho depot when the train arrived. The body was taken directly to Chapman’s undertaking parlors, and Mrs. Suitor was driven to the home of Mr. and Mrs. .Tames Elliott, south of towu.The funeral services Sunday afternoon were simple but impressive. An able and touching sermon was preached by Rev. A. O. Braqltenbury the local pastor, aud appropriate music was rendered by the choir. The church was filled with choicest ilowers, and a pretty wreath of immortelles rested upon the casket At tho conclusion of the services, the friends were permitted to view the remains. As the procession slowly moved by the open casket, men and women could not restrain their tears as they gazed for the last time ou the face of one who had been their friend, aud whose dying wish was that his body might be laid to rest ainid the scenes ho hud loved so well in the earlier and more active days of his life.
