Hammer, bis wife, of Union, were adjudicated bankrupt last Monday and the first meeting of creditors will be held the 12th of August.Adam Hammer has against him secured claims to the amount of $1,477,-15, and unsecured $1,396.90, making a total of $2,874,05. His assets are, real estate $200, other $582, besides $435, which is exempt.' Eliza Hammer’s financial status is the same, except that she has $1,166.90in unsecured claims. The assets willnot meet the secured cl aims, wki eh are held principally by Union and Whitten business men. There are numerousjudgments appearing against the petitioners, who are farmers. .The secured claims will not be^ paidoff at 50 cents on the dollar and those having unsecured claims can whistleand wait for Annie.
