OOOweird, a sea monster 27 feet long and 17 feet around the girth, was found dead on the beach of Fidalgo Bay, 15 miles from Columbia Gla-rd“avvlire.ith30cxer.The creature has not yet been classified. Some persons assert it belongs to the whale family. Other persons deny it is a whale because it has no blubber. Hair on. the back of the creature is four or five inches long, and on the sides two inches long. The ventral fins are from six t- to eight feet.Inasmuch as the creature evidently was brought ashore by currents of water coming from melting Columbia glacier, there is some speculation over the possibility that the monster might have been embedded in ice since pre-historic times and that it might have just been released by the action of the meltingra:1C1CofarEdtodo:y.ovle3pe:Heraidamseainofthw.glacier. lr
