‘SPOT’ VICTIM WRONG MAN IS JtELIEVEI)DALLAS, Aug. 1.— (UP) — Sam Bakal, 26, shot to death as he sat with his former wife on the front porch of her home, was “put cn the spot” by a slayer who mistook him for a roomer, police believedSaturday.One suspect, supposedly an enemy of the roomer police believe he was trying to set, was being detained for questioning. He was spirited away from the city hall after an hour’s grilling by police detectives. He claimed that threats had been made upon his life, police said.The suspect's appearance was similar to the man killed las*, night, being of about the same stature and general appearance. He was known to have crossed the porch where Bakal and his wife were sitting 10 minutes before the shootingoccurred.44Now, I've got you, the assis-sin said as he began firing with a .rifle.
